Information Technology Specialist (SYSANALYSIS), NF-03/FLEX
The Information Technology Specialist assists Army Lodging in improving business processes through analysis and improvement of of various IT systems.
DESCRIPTION OF MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Under the lead of a full performance specialist, performs highly structured, entry-level work designed to develop broader and more in-depthknowledge and skill needed to perform higher-level assignments. Gathers and analyzes basic facts and draws conclusions. Applies systemsanalysis concepts and techniques sufficient to assist in studies to identify potential improvements in the way Information Technology (IT) is appliedto key business processes. Performs assignments in the identification and resolution of issues and problems. Applies a structured systems analysisapproach to the design and development of basic IT systems specifications. Assists in the development of requirements and specifications for ITsystems that meet business needs. Prepares and communicates factual and procedural information clearly, orally, and in writing. Applies informationsecurity and information assurance policy, principles, and practices.
Requirements

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Applicant must have one year of post-high school experience in the hospitality industry or one year of post-high school education. Experience, education and/or specialized training sufficient to demonstrate knowledge and skill in applying: -Systems analysis concepts and techniques; -Structured analysis principles; -Customers' business processes and operations; -Cost-benefit analysis methods; and -Internet technologies All Qualified applicants will be rated against the highly qualifying criteria by a rating panel for evaluation of the quality and extent of your total accomplishments, experience and education. Those applicants determined to be highly qualified will be referred to the hiring official for consideration. The highly qualified candidates may undergo an interview and reference checks.
