TECHNICIAN

You will serve as a TECHNICIAN (Production Team Lead) in the Warfighter Defense & Systems Integration Department (W), EOD Systems Division (W3), Force Protection Systems Branch (W35) of NAVSURFWARCEN IH DIV. The salary range shown above represents all of the positions within the band, including high grade positions. This is not a high grade position; therefore, the salary may be limited to a GS-13 Step 10 (currently $138,370).


  • You will serve as the technical SME and operational driver responsible for the day-to-day execution, technical integrity, production schedule, and customer interface for the manufacturing of pre-engineered and prefabricated armories and magazines.
  • You will coordinate with the Program Lead to support mutual program goals, production-floor scheduling, resource allocation, and the physical realization of the product lifecycle.
  • You will provide hands-on technical guidance to ensure strict adherence to NSWC IHD Specifications 3046-1 and 3046-2, as well as all applicable Unified Facilities Criteria and Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command regulatory standards.
  • You will ensure that every phase of manufacturing meets the highest industry standards of safety, quality control, and operational excellence.

Requirements

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12 grade equivalency) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: utilizing technical engineering procedures to support and improve the fabrication or assembly of Arms, Ammunition & Explosives (AA&E) structures, by interpreting engineering drawings, applying technical specifications, and conducting quality inspections to resolve non-conformances for the purpose of ensuring manufacturing deliverables meet safety and operational requirements.
