Ft. Irwin, CA- Floor Care Technician


Essential Job Functions:

  • This Floor Technician position is Mon - Sunday Availability.
  • Due to the nature of work, rotating weekends, are required
  • Experience with commercial-grade buffers, vacuums, and carpet cleaning machines (to include all devices/attachments) for the use of specific and professional maintenance of hard surface floors
  • Ability to determine appropriate cleaning chemicals used to maintain various surfaces (vinyl, painted, ceramic tile, metal, brick, wood, cork, concrete) as well as performing finishing techniques to protect/preserve various floor finishes
  • Ability to maintain hospital environment in a sanitary, attractive, and orderly condition
  • Ability to perform specific cleaning tasks, including dusting horizontal surfaces, maintain assigned equipment for cleanliness, and reporting needed repairs to equipment, furniture, building, and fixtures
  • MUST be punctual and maintain regular attendance
  • Maintain assigned equipment for cleanliness and report needed repairs to equipment, furniture, building, and fixtures
  • Adhere to Company rules, technical procedures, and safety policies as may be communicated to him/her verbally or in writing and in English
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

 

Job Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 6 to 12 months documented experience as a Floor Technician or equivalent
  • Working knowledge of cleaning methods, chemicals and equipment, safety practices as related to Housekeeping/Janitorial Industry.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English.
  • Ability to read and understand service requests, container labels, product information, and directions on cleaning chemicals and other materials.
