OPERATIONS RESEARCH ANALYST

Notice of Result letters will not be sent to applicants who respond to this flyer. You will serve as the OPERATIONS RESEARCH ANALYST in the Force Readiness Analytics Group (FRAG).


  • You will conduct comprehensive cost analyses to identify cost-saving opportunities such as operational efficiencies, procurement adjustments, or technological enhancements.
  • You will develop and implement cost optimization strategies and initiatives.
  • You will prepare and present detailed cost analysis reports to senior management and stakeholders.
  • You will utilize advanced data analysis techniques and modeling tools such as Python, R, or SAS to analyze complex data sets related to cost and financial performance.
  • You will develop and maintain cost models, forecasting tools, and simulation models to support decision-making.
  • You will lead, mentor, and manage a team of data analysts and data engineers, ensuring high performance and professional development opportunities such as training sessions and career path planning.

Requirements

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Work as a professional operations research analyst leading a team in developing and implementing cost optimization strategies and identifying cost saving opportunities (e.g. operational effectiveness, procurement adjustments, technological enchantments) to improve financial performance impacting Naval operations.
