Sheet Metal Workers Local 268 are accepting Apprentice Applications
Sheet Metal Workers Local 268 serves the Southern third of the State of Illinois. Serving 36 counties from the Mississippi river on our western border, to the Ohio river in the east, then north 170 miles from the confluence of these two rivers in Cairo. Local 268 was an amalgamation of 5 smaller locals on May 18, 1939. Counties Served: Alexander, Bond, Clay, Clinton, Edwards, Effingham, Fayette, Franklin, Gallatin, Greene, Hamilton, Hardin, Jackson, Jefferson, Jersey, Johnson, Macoupin, Madison, Marion, Massac, Monroe, Montgomery, Perry, Pope, Pulaski, Randolph, Richland, St. Clair, Saline, Union, Wabash, Washington, Wayne, White, and Williamson.
Sheet Metal Workers’ Local 268 will be accepting applications on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday’s of the month at the Caseyville office and on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday’s of the month at the Johnston City office from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.

Requirements
All applicants must be at least 18 years of age with a High School Diploma or G.E.D. and a valid drivers license.
Strong math and drafting skills are desired traits.
Veterans should submit DD-214
Copies of all High School, College, & G.E.D. certificates, Diploma’s & transcripts are due at time of application.A personal interview and aptitude test will be required along with a drug screening prior to employment.
